Frequently asked questions
I AM NOT A MODEL, AND HAVE NEVER DONE THIS. IS THAT A PROBLEM?
I have shot women of all ages, shapes and sizes. No one comes in knowing how to pose, and everyone leaves with amazing pictures! You’ve hired me to make you look and feel the best you ever have, and I guarantee you'll leave with a new found confidence. Your only job: have fun and relax. I only ask that place your confidence in me. With amazing posing, lighting and direction, you will love your portraits.
ARE MY PHOTOS PRIVATE?
WILL MY PHOTOS BE ON THE INTERNET?
Not unless you say it’s okay! Every client I feature on my website and/or social media has given me written permission to post her images. Privacy is very important to me. If you decide you don’t want them shared, that is completely fine. If you want to give permission, I’d LOVE to share them so other women can get an idea of what the experience looks and feels like.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Bring a valid photo ID and up to 4 different outfits that make you feel confident and sexy. Popular choices for our clients are corsets, matching bra and panty sets, and lingerie. If you are interested in doing boudoir as a special gift, we definitely recommend bringing something personal from your special someone; an open button-down dress shirt, or even props like a football or guitar! We love when our clients get creative! We also adore accessories; stilettos add sexy length to legs, white pearls, ties (or anything else you can dream up!) instantly add a touch of glam and can be an easy and fun way to spice up any session and make it unique.
DO I HAVE TO BRING LINGERIE?
DO YOU PHOTOSHOP?
Yes! Photoshop can reduce or completely remove most common issues. But I believe in showing the real you. I have never been a fan of pictures that make people look like plastic dolls. But being an artistic photographer I can creative some different looks and feels for your photos. Photoshop can then be used to perfect the images.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND?
I understand! It sounds like the best idea to bring a friend with you. You feel like it might make you more comfortable having a familiar face there during your session. And while you may be right to a point, I have to disagree! I need your focus to be on you and me! What we’re doing here: capturing your beauty, exploring your raw emotions- vulnerability, desire, pleasure, flirtation, fierce sexiness- it takes guts! And sometimes- it feels a little silly! I do not want you to spend your whole session wondering what your friend is thinking! If you decide to bring a friend with you, that’s ok. Please note that only females 18 and older are allowed in the studio during boudoir events. (No men, no children, no exceptions). But they will be asked to wait in the hair & makeup area during your actual shoot. Also my Client Coordinator who is also my wife will be present during the session.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I SCHEDULE?
It is best to schedule your session a month in advance of when you would actually like to have your photo shoot. After you place your order, it takes up to 4 weeks to arrive at you. We also offer various expedited investment options if there is a special occasion or date you need your images by that is sooner than normal production times. The best way to avoid Rush Fees and ensure you will have your product in hand is to schedule 3-4 months before your big day.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES/PRODUCTS?
Orders take 4 weeks to arrive at you from the time you place them, but we do offer an expedited investment if you have a special date you need it by. If you choose to take advantage of one of our payment plan options, your products and images will not be sent out until your invoice is paid in full.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY SESSION?
We hope you will spend time telling everyone what a great experience you had! After your session, call us to book your viewing and ordering appointment. You will get to see your fabulous images, choose which images and products you would like to purchase. The hardest part will be narrowing down to your favorites!
DO YOU DELIVER EVERY IMAGE YOU SHOOT?
No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, because I shoot with low apertures, sometimes I take a few extra shots to make sure I have the perfect focus. I don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so I spend hours doing that on this end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. I might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure I have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment. With my expertise of processing countless of images each year, I may eliminate ones that I feel are duplicates and only deliver the best one.
HOW DO I RESERVE MY APPOINTMENT?
All dates are reserved once we receive your signed contract and deposit.
IF I CANCEL WILL I RECEIVE MY DEPOSIT BACK?
Unfortunately no. Deposit fees are used to reserve your date. Once I’ve reserved your date, I do not accept new clients for your date.
IF I WANT TO CHANGE TO A DIFFERENT DATE, WILL I BE ABLE TO USE MY DEPOSIT FEE TOWARDS A FUTURE DATE?
Generally no, but this is taken on a case by case basis. The reason for canceling and my availability is taken into account. Also, if rates change from your original date to your new date, the new rates will apply.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I work out of my approx. 1200 sq ft. home-based studio in Southfield, MI.
